Kristopher L. Carpenter

Kristopher Carpenter earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. While at Brigham Young, Kristopher served as a political analyst for the Scottish National Party providing legislative drafting and analysis for members of the Scottish Parliament. Following graduation from Brigham Young, he pursued and obtained his Juris Doctor from University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law. At McGeorge he focused on socially oriented business models and international law, clerking in Beijing, China and performing directed research under former World Bank Special Counsel Sabine Schlemmer-Schulte. After law school Kristopher continued in his passion for social change, serving as General Counsel for a large education and charter management organization, overseeing the legal operations for twelve charter schools and several related non-profit organizations. Kristopher is excited to be on the team at Young, Minney & Corr and to expand his services to charter schools throughout California. His practice currently focuses on matters involving charter school development, corporate issues, employment and labor, and facilities, among others.
