Marysia S. Okreglak

Marysia Okreglak’s practice focuses on litigation on behalf of charter schools. She has almost twenty years of litigation experience, including commercial and business litigation, personal injury and wrongful death, product liability, premises liability, construction defect and insurance coverage. Prior to joining YM&C, Marysia practiced in San Francisco for a mid-sized general litigation firm representing clients in both federal and state courts. She has represented high-profile clients in several multi-million dollar and multi-defendant cases, which involved complex and novel legal issues in state, federal and appellate courts. In addition to maximizing her clients’ interests through alternative dispute resolution, Marysia has successfully represented clients in jury and bench trials in both Northern and Southern California courts.

Marysia graduated cum laude from the University of San Francisco with a degree in Political Science, and minors in Economics and English. While an undergraduate, she interned with the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office and participated in an internship with the British House of Commons. Marysia obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego, School of Law where she served as an Editor on the San Diego Law Review. During law school, she interned with Nevada District Court Judge Mills Lane and worked with the Domestic Restraining Order Clinic.

Marysia is admitted to all federal district courts in California and she is a member of the Women Lawyers of Sacramento. In addition to her professional achievements, she is the proud mother of two young boys, and enjoys yoga and skiing.
